The Wedding

Sophie's wedding was beautiful!
It was very simple, but quaint. She and Brent had a small "ceremony" in these gardens nearby. Their friend/manager, just happens to be an ordained minister, so he married them. And it was just me, my parents, and Brents parents, and his brother, Taylor. We spent the whole day together, and it was a blast!
The wedding was at 10 am this morning, and I was the photographer! I got some really amazing shots, although Sophie won't let me post them anywhere, or show them to anyone, because she's lame and didn't tell anyone really, that she and Brent were getting hitched. Whatever...not really my business I guess. But regardless, I got some really nice photos and it was fun.
The only thing is, Sophie and I are both very artistic people, and she is also a photographer, and lately she's been acting really sour about me doing the photography thing too. It's like she thinks I'm trying to steal her thunder or something. And everytime anyone refers to me as a "photographer", she contradicts them, and says, "Well she just started..." and it pisses me off! First of all, because I did not just start. I've been doing photography for longer than she has! I used to shoot film in high school, but then my camera broke so I kinda got out of it for a while, and since my mom and I started those classes, I've gotten back into it. It just so happens that Sophie picked up a camera and started shooting this summer or something. So...like a couple months before I did, but she seems to think she's staked her claim on photography and only one of us can do it. Everything always has to be a competition with her, I don't know why! Ugh...it just sucks because hers is one of the only opinions I actually value, and she always has to be so...snotty about me taking pictures. Whatever...
Anyways, after the wedding, we all went out to lunch, and then to play minigolf. I really got to know Taylor too, Brents younger brother. He's about 6 months younger than me, and we have a lot in common. We're both bartenders first of all, and we have similar senses of humor. So we had fun goofing off and exchanging bar stories.
Then my parents went to the airport, Brents family went back to Jacksonville, Sophie and Brent went to their hotel, and I went back to Sophie's apartment, alone. So I decided to take Sophie's beach cruiser to the bookstore. I actually ended up riding to 2 bookstores, cuz Barnes & Noble didn't have the book I wanted. And then neither did Borders! But I got plenty of exercise! And it was fun. I haven't ridden a bike since college. But now I'm exhausted!!
I just wanted to fill everyone in on the goings on here in the sunshine state! Keep up the comments guys, I appreciate it!
Oh, and to all you haters out there, I don't have a drinking problem!!! I don't drink any more than anyone else my age that I know! I mean yea, I like to go out and have a good time, but who are you to judge me? If you don't like my blog, then spare me your comments and find another blog to read. There are plenty of them out there, and if I've heard it once, I've heard it a hundred times so please...seriously.

Oh come on!!!
Stop giving her shit as if you want to "help her", Peyton needs no help, she's simply a sociable girl who likes to hung out and have fun like normal people do!!!

kate you have no right to judge her... like i said yesterday and she said- she does not drink too much.... and if you don't like her blog- DON'T READ IT. it's as simple as that. and also like i said yesterday- maybe you just don't have anyone to go out with and you're just jealous that she is so sociable.

Just because we say that perhaps she does drink a lot, does not mean that we do not like her blog. For the record, I said she drank a lot NOT that she had a drinking problem. I personally follow the blog and enjoy it, but am in the opinion that she does drink a whole lot and should not get so defensive about things (i.e. the model and the shots story). I leave my opinion because I like the writer and think that perhaps she would care to hear an outsiders point of view. Just because she drinks a lot doesn't make her a bad person, but it is something she should keep an eye on. Age is not an excuse to drink all the time.

oh and as far as the petty comments about not having friends to go out with and jealous.....grow up.

i wasn't trying to be petty and immature by saying that... just like you all said we have a right to our own opinions and i think we should all be allowed to voice them! i was only sticking up for the writer because you can't judge someone that you don't even know. and i should not have said the jealous thing but i was only sticking up for her...

Kate has the right to comment on Peyton's blog as much as Peyton has a right to have a blog. We've gone over this before, and it's a tired subject... but by putting herself out there in a blog format Peyton has opened herself up to, and invited comments and opinions. That is just the facts. Kate may have a point about Peyton's drinking habits, I don't know. I don't know Peyton in the "real" world and am hopeful that it IS just age related goodtimes and partying. But it really honestly is not something I care to speculate about.

Stop hashing on anyone and everyone that may have an opinion that is not the same as yours. Allow comments and suggestions and advice... or don't have a blog that is open to comments. I don't recall blog comments only being for warm fuzzies and unconditional acceptance.. they are for opinions and viewpoints.. and those my friends are not always pretty.

Good Luck Peyton. I enjoy your posts.

Peace

everyone has to remember too, we're not going through every single day of her life, only the eventful and fun ones. just because they involve drinking doesn't mean that her life revolves around it. i for one don't think she drinks to much, she's young and just trying to have fun.

power to you peyton.

I said that I think that she drinks too much, not that she is alcoholic. She is posting about her life, and wants comments, I am giving my opinion, but she only wants the sugar-coated wants. Well I'm one for speaking my mind. As a health care professional, its one of things we are thought about and to watch with patients, its a common problem amongst young people that think dont know the difference between socially drinking and binge drinking. They think binge drinking is perfectly acceptable. I am also trying to raise some awareness on those young people reading peytons blogs, and are impressionable.

As for peyton, I thought she was alteast a head-stong girl, and could take an honest opinion, guess i was wrong. She'll probably delete this post the minute she see it LOL....

Her habit of deleting comments that she does not like is very irritating. It shows immaturity I think.

Leave Kate alone. She is just stating her opinion... just like everyone else.

Enough already with the bickering.

Peace.
