Don't blame California!!! We can't help it if it's amazing out here! But cost of living is high so unless he is moving to NorCal or is getting an amazing salary I hope he is prepared for the insane cost of living!
I think you need to go out more.. I think if you would date a few guys you might not get so invested. Have fun and then that great one will find you when you least expect it.
You have the worst luck with guys, especially with one's. That don't live in your city. I hope it works out for you, but just remember not to push him away or get too invested. He isn't your boyfriend and you knew he had that opportunity. There's nothing tying you to where you are either - someday the west coast could call for you too.
