Just Girls!
AHHH! Today was so much fun! I went shopping with 2 girls from school, Katy and Sami. They were both in my photo class last semester. Then we went and ate afterwards. We had such a blast. We were at Nordstrom Rack, and we all picked out really shitteous outfits and made each other pose in them. Then we took photos. I felt like I was 17 again. Although, they are both 19 so maybe that's why. Lol. It might seem a little weird, me hanging out with girls that are almost 10 years my junior, but I am pretty immature for my age. LOL. But it was so nice to just go out and have fun with the girls. I miss doing that! And I got some realllly awesome steals today! I picked up this great pair of Carrera shades which I am now obsessed with (as seen on model below!) and a new pair of cords. So all in all, success!
Brazil texted me earlier, asking if I had any plans tonight. I told him I was shopping with the girls, but no plans later. He hasn't responded, but he's still in class for another...30 minutes? So we'll see if I hear from him again. I actually haven't seen him since that night he came over. We just keep missing each other I guess. But he's going to the hospital surgery to have a sound wave shock treatment done to one of his kidneys (he has kidney stones) so he said next week he would be taking it easy, and recovering, and that he should have plenty of time so we can "do something". Whatever that means. We shall see...
I gave my number to another really hot guy that came into the bar Saturday night. I mean really hot. Like maybe even too hot to not be a huge douche. But then he actually texted me! Like only two hours after I gave him my number!! So we texted back and forth a little bit, and basically came to the conclusion that we have completely opposite schedules and will never see each other again. Lol. Unless I get a Friday or Saturday night off. And I don't see that happening any time soon... ((Sigh)) Oh well. At least I'm putting myself out there. I guess all it takes is a little bit of flirting and a little bit of confidence. Guys dig that shit. Well I gotta go practice piano now. Toodles!

Thought It Over
Thanks for the comments, guys! I definitely thought over everything about Matty, and Anonymous (who are you??) is right. I don't want to make the same mistake I made with Brandon. I'm just going to stay away from the people I work with. Romantically, anyway. Better safe than sorry, and I definitely do need that job too much to risk it for romance. So yea. He's too young anyway. I don't wanna just date around. I'm getting old. I need to start dating people I can actually possibly see myself being with like...forever. That sounds so final, and serious, but...I don't wanna be alone in 5 years. ((Sigh)) So I'm just going to take the high road, and be friends with Matty, nothing more.
Anyway, only 2 weeks till Jenna's wedding! And I'm actually really looking forward to going home, even though it's only for 3 days. I just have so much to do before then! I need to get a haircut, a mani/pedi, a tan, and a wax. Ugh... It's not going to be cheap either. It has been kind of nice not having to worry about hairy legs for the last 3 months. Lol. It's definitely still too cold here for shorts. We actually got more snow a few days ago.
On Saturday, I finally got to hang out with Sophie. We met up and did some bargain shopping. She had heard about this apartment sale, so we went to check that out, and I got a cashmere scarf for 50 cents! Lol. Then we went into this hair salon so I could check out their prices, since I'm in the market for a new hairdresser. We also went to Border's, cuz the one by her house is closing, and everything is like 60% off, and we went to a couple resale shops. I didn't get any clothes, but Sophie got a pair of brand new looking shoes! After that we had lunch/dinner and went our separate ways.
Work with the boys was fun, but I already told you about that. So my weekend was pretty great, over all! Now I just gotta make it through this week without spending any money, so I can save for my weekend in Houston. Haha, wish me luck!

The Perfect Dress
Man you guys, let me tell you how much I was hoping that maintenance guy would show up at midnight and add some excitement to my life! I just loooooooooove the drama!!
((chuckle))
Anyways, I didn't get a chance to go to my leasing office yesterday, since I was meeting with a new photography client. But I definitely will today! I'm not gonna bother with the police. As rude as they were, I can definitely withstand a little bullying. As for the maintenance guy though?? What it boils down to is, he knew I was there, since my deadbolt was locked, and I'm sure he knew I was sleeping, and he was definitely TRYING to wake me up, which is completely uncalled for. He should left me alone after I didn't answer the door the first time. And that's what I'm going to YELL to my apartment managers. Ugh.
Anyways, other than that little incident, my weekend was pretty good! Saturday during the day, I went to Taryn's apartment and raided her closet for dresses. She had a couple cute ones, but none of them were like...The One. But she told me to bring them anyways. Then we went out to lunch, which was nice. She's one of my only single friends these days, so we can relate to each other.
While we were hanging out Todd called!
"Hello?"
"Hey Peyton, I have some good news!" He said.
"Really? What???" I asked, my heart pounding.
"I was able to get you a comped room at our hotel."
"WOW! Seriously???"
I couldn't believe my luck! I'd been wondering how I was gonna manage to get around if I stayed with my mom's cousin. She lives about 30 minutes from the stadium, which is a pretty expensive cab ride.
"Yea! They were only giving the extra rooms out to the players who were married, but one of my teammates is good friends with guy who's in charge of booking the rooms, and he managed to pull some strings."
"Omg thanks, Todd! That's so awesome!"
"No problem! You and Laura will be sharing a room."
Uh oh! I thought, The bomb drops... But I didn't let on how weird that might be, I just thanked him profusely. I don't even care about that! I mean, I like Laura, she's a nice girl, and I have nothing against her personally. I just don't think she's right for Todd! But we get along, and it's going to be fun regardless.
So Saturday night, I worked at the Washington bar. Taryn and I were actually scheduled at the same time, so we carpooled! :)
Go green! Working there was really awesome though. It was a nice change of scenery. The prices and computer system are different, but I picked up on everything right away. It was fast paced, so I wasn't bored, and the night went by quickly, and we made great money!! Just what I need for Miami!!
Sunday morning, I woke up earlier than I'd planned, but I had a lot of stuff to do so I just decided to roll with it. First stop? The mall. As much as I was dreading walking around The Galleria, I just had to find the perfect dress! As I was getting ready to go, Laura called.
"Hey Peyton!! Are you excited?! We're roomies!"
"I know! I am excited! It's gonna be so much fun!"
We chatted about the weekend, our flights, and what to wear. I told her I was about to head to the mall to find something. She expressed that she had no clue what she was going to bring. So I offered to bring along some extra dresses, just in case she wanted to borrow something.
The mall was actually not that bad. I perused through Macy's pretty quickly, found some cute stuff, but nothing that really stood out. Then I headed to French Connection, where I found the perfect dress! Not only is it purple, my favorite color, but it was marked down, and 50% off!! And it fit perfectly! I'll post pictures when I get home.
I also got the perfect accessories to go with it. Black sequined pumps with a matching black sequined clutch. Now, all I need is jewelry, and I'll have the perfect ensemble for the post-game players party on Sunday. I'm so excited!!!
After the mall, I headed over to my aunt's house in Spring. My grandparents were in town, along with my Aunt Josie and her kids. So it was kind of like a mini-family reunion. We had dinner, played catch-up and watched the Grammy's. Then I finally went home, exhausted, and well...you know the rest of the story.
My lash extensions appointment got canceled yesterday cuz apparently a bunch of girls dropped out of the program. I was pretty disappointed but...oh well. She said she'd keep me in her appointment book for next time.
Well, it's back to work! Busy busy busy!!
((chuckle))

Crazy Week Ahead
OMG! My schedule next week is literally insane. Check it out:
Monday:
2pm - NovaLash appt (I'll explain later)
5pm - photography client meeting
Tuesday:
4:30pm - Waxing appt
6pm - PACK!
Wednesday:
5pm - Tanning
6pm - PACK!
Thursday:
5pm - Nails
6pm - Finish packing, go to parents house, drop off dog
Friday:
6pm - GO TO MIAMI!!
And of course I'm also working my day job on all of those days... Ugh...
So, about the lash appt. A friend of a friend works for NovaLash, and they need models in a couple of weeks for some event, and they're offering free lashes in exchange for the modeling!! And I figured, PERFECT! I'll have nice long lashes for Miami, and they're FREE!! It's gonna be so cool! I have so much stuff to do next week, ahhh!!
Tomorrow I gotta go look for a dress. I'm kind of dreading that. And Sunday, I'm supposed to be spending the day with Cecilia and Presley. I miss her, and we're planning on going to the beach, if the weather permits. Obviously not to SWIM, but just to hang out and catch up. This weekend, I definitely need to start packing. I would do it today, but I'm so exhausted I know I'm gonna crash as soon as I get home from work! I stayed up wayyyy too late last night reading Dear John. Really good, but really depressing. I HATED the ending. It just made me cry! Ugh, I hate that. That's why I don't usually read Nicholas Sparks. His books always make me cry. But I saw the previews for Dear John and The Last Song, and they looked so good, I just bought the books. I've been reading maniacally lately. It calms my nerves, and takes my mind off things. I've been thinking a lot lately about stuff...i.e. Todd. ((sigh))
So Laura is going to the Superbowl. I mean I should have known. Did I mention I'm going alone to Miami?? Todd was only able to get me 1 ticket. I never called Law School either. The more I think about that whole situation, the more pissed off I get. I feel like I'm losing the small amount of patience I used to have. It's like my tolerance for people is completely gone! Ughhh... Well it's not like he's tried to contact me either. And after all this, any residual feelings I may have had for Law School are completely gone. In fact, I'm glad nothing happened between us, because he's...DUMB! Just...AHHH so frustrating! Sometimes I feel like I just wanna call him out, and tell him I know why he's acting so fucking lame, and to get over it. But whatever. I'm not gonna call him.
So anyways, I'm getting to Miami a day earlier than everybody else. Except Todd and his parents, and probably Laura. I'm going to be staying with my mom's cousin, Maria. But I'm kind of hoping maybe Pete will let me crash in his hotel room if we're all out super late. Cuz Maria lives about 30 minutes away from the stadium. We'll see... So I may be spending Friday night by myself, or with my 2nd cousin. Brenden, Andrew and Pete are all getting there Saturday. And Todd has curfew that night, but I'm sure the rest of us will go out. Then there's gonna be a huge tailgating party Sunday during the day. It's gonna be fun! I just hope I'll have enough money saved up! Hopefully the bars do good tonight and tomorrow!

PANIC ATTACK!
Omg, I'm starting to get really nervous about New Year's Eve! What if inviting Cali was a bad idea?? What if he's not social enough for me to leave him alone?? What if he doesn't fit in with my friends? What if they don't like him?? I don't wanna have to babysit him all night, cuz when I start drinking, I'm very gregarious. I'm all over the place! Especially when I'm at a bar where I know everyone that works there. ((Sigh)) I really hope this night isn't a total disaster!!
We're supposed to meet over at Ben's house for cocktails at 7:30 and then take a cab to the bar. I got the perfect dress!! It's a plum colored, form fitting sheath, above the knee, with a sweetheart neckline. But then there's this heavily beaded piece that comes up from the middle of the bust, in a straight light, and wraps around the neck. It's so pretty! And different. Nobody will have a dress like mine! It was the only one on the rack at this really obscure boutique I love. I also got the perfect shoes to match! They're a dark, silvery grey, and there's like a small bead type design that comes up the arch and wraps around the ankle. I'll have to post pictures of my outfit later.
Anyways, I have another date with Cali tonight. Dinner and a movie. We're gonna go see Up In The Air. So, maybe I'll feel a little better about NYE after our date tonight.
On Saturday night at work, Brandon spoke to me. For the first time since...well I don't even know. He said, "Hey! How are you?" while we were both in line for the computer. I just said, "Swell!" and went about my business. And then I got to thinking, why can't he and I just be friends? I mean, it feels so weird to just cut someone completely out of my life. He was such a big part of it for a time, he knew me better than anyone, he was like my best friend! And now we don't even speak. And that kind of makes me sad. But then I think, he sure as hell wasn't a very good friend! At least not for the last 2/3rds of our relationship. A friend would never do or say the things to me that he did. But...I don't know. I think it's for the best if things just remain the way they are. It's easier that way. Not thinking about him, I mean. Maybe someday...farther down the road.
Speaking of friends, I'm starting to feel really lonely lately. And really mad, at Bethany in particular. She never calls me anymore, yet she calls me her best friend, but I've practically been replaced, with Summer! And I love Summer and all, but it's like, just because I don't work with them anymore, and I don't have a bartender's lifestyle anymore, I can't hang out with my friends anymore! They never call me, or invite me to do things, and I'm always just...by myself. Lately, I haven't been lonely so much, cuz of the holidays, but now that Sophie's gone, I can already feel things slipping back into their old routine. Summer texted me yesterday, and I mentioned that I never get to see them anymore, and she suggested that me, her and Bethany go to a movie. And I said, sure. Then when I got off work, I texted and called her, and she never answered or responded! I'm gonna be really mad if I find out they went without me and never called. ((Sigh)) I really hope I'm not losing my friends.

To The Future!
Well today was a big day for me on several fronts! First and foremost, I started my new job! And to be honest, it was grueling and boring. But it was only the first day. And my supervisor basically just gave me a bunch of material to read about the company, and the department, etc... And obviously, the reading was very tedious, and I was trying like hell to stay awake. I only got like 3 hours of sleep last night. Today kind of reminded me of the first day of classes in college. You show up, meet your professor and get your syllabus. Basically just a formality, nothing too exciting. But, I made it through the day, boring as it was, and tomorrow should be more exciting, more involved. I actually get to start on some small projects. The big project I was hired for doesn't start up for a couple of weeks, so this is kind of my introductory, training, settling in period.
After work, I met up with my mom, who had just gotten out of her doctor's appointment. We had a light dinner, and then she suggested we do a little shopping. And a little shopping, sort of turned into a lot of shopping! Haha. I mean, we went into Ross, just to pick up a couple shirts or sweaters for me to wear to work, and then we found this beautiful Calvin Klein suit, and this beautiful Calvin Klein coat, and then we had to find me an outfit to match the coat.... And I mean, we were at Ross, so everything was a bargain! And since we were so close to the Galleria, this particular Ross had a lot of high end stuff. So that definitely brightened my day. And my mom paid for all of it! She said it was "an investment in my future". :)
And guess who's back?? Well...sort of. Cory! He sent me a flirty message on Facebook the other day, saying that he and I just needed to get together, have wild sex and forget all our previous relationship problems. Lol. And even though that may sound a little presumptuous, he's always been a jokster, and I love that about him. And most importantly, it made me laugh.
So today, I thought I'd send him a random text just for the hell of it.
And our conversation got increasingly more and more flirtatious. I'll paste it here.
Me: I think I may be in dire need of your booty call services.
Cory: Haha well when are you making the trip to SA, cuz [insert hometown here] is lame, and I don't have a bed there. Lol.
Me: I told you I live in HOUSTON now, lol. And I don't have a bed in SA either. But P.S. you could share my bed, I just can't promise you'll get any sleep.
Cory: Lmao ok then, but if I go to HTown, I always have to go home and see my family, or else I'd feel bad.
Me: Well then you have an excuse to come down here! [Hometown] is really not THAT far off the grid.
Cory: Ya, but between work and school, my time is limited. :( Guess I'll have to see.
Me: Yea, yea, well MAKE IT HAPPEN! Before I implode from lack of orgasms. Hahaha.
Cory: Oh my! lol. exciting.
Me: Yea it sounds funny, but it's really not.
Cory: Trust me I'm positive I'm more frustrated than you.
Me: Hmmm...I doubt that! I pretty sure I got dumped before you did! And it's been a pretty long time since I've gotten any action!
Cory: I had sex 12 times with my gf of 10 months... Pretty sure I win.
Me: ((Sigh)) ok FINE. You win. Lol. What an accomplishment, huh? We should really get some other ppl in on THIS contest!
Cory: No one would beat me... Sex 12 times in 10 months... I've done that in like 2 days..
Me: Lol. Don't tease me.
Cory: I like to tease. Makes it more fun.
Me: I couldn't agree more...
Cory: Lol this makes a trip to houston seem more pleasing. 3 hours in the car sucks.
Me: Well I'm sure I can return the favor at some point. Either way, I'll make it worth your while. ;)
Cory: I like the term, "make it worth your while"
Me: Me too, because it usually means fun. :D
The End.
Well! I am definitely having fun with this one. There's no threat here! He lives in San Antonio, I'm not afraid of him hurting me, there are no strings attached, we're just flirting, and there's a possibility of sex. Maybe more, maybe not. Who knows?! But I'm having fun. And that's what's important. It would be pretty damn awesome if he came to visit though...
We'll see what happens...
Here's to the future!

Damaged Goods
Well I start the new job tomorrow. I'm pretty anxious about it. I'm not really sure what to expect. I went shopping with Melissa yesterday to get some comfy pumps, and couple more things to add to my professional wardrobe. I didn't do anything last night, because Bethany, Tug, Summer and Ben were on a double date. :/
Usually Bethany and I do movie Mondays, but obviously that was a no-go. ((Sigh))
So I spent my last 2 free nights sitting at home, by myself, in my pajamas. And I was reading an old journal the other night, from 2002. And I just can't believe how…carefree and happy I was then. And even when I was having problems with my boyfriend at the time, which not surprisingly, are the same kinds of problems I still have with guys, it was like I had at least 2 other guys on the backburner to distract me from my current relationship problems! And it's not that I was cheating with these other guys, but they were just around, to flirt with and make me feel wanted. I mean, how sweet is that! I was so…innocent, naive even, but so bold, unafraid, undaunted, and adventurous. And I wouldn't even say I was confident, I was just…fearless. And now…I've become so cautious, jaded, apathetic, ripped apart and beaten down that it's like…I don't even have the desire, or the drive to go out and find those things anymore. And I wish I did! I wish I could be like that again. How is it that in every relationship I've ever been in (save one), I always have to question the guy's feelings. He never calls when he says he's going to. Always makes me wait around, takes me for granted, treats me with indifference, doesn't express his feelings, verbally, or otherwise. They've all been the same. Disappointment after disappointment. I just want a guy to really love me, and not be afraid to show it. Not try to change me, or make me less of a woman, less independent, less of who I am, just to make himself feel bigger, stronger, better… Why does everything have to be a competition??? I'm not looking for competition. I'm looking for companionship. So what if we work together? Why do we have to be competitors? Why can't we just be coworkers? Friends? Why are men so selfish, inconsiderate, and egocentric?? Why do they have to act so spiteful and mean when they feel they've been bested. Who's even counting?? Why do they always feel like they have to trade up. Like there just might be something better out there. Not to sound narcissistic but, what could be better than me?? I have a lot to offer. I'm smart, unique, and fun. I like to go out do things, travel, laugh, be goofy. I don't get mad easily, and I'm not catty, and I don't like to play games. WHERE are the men who are looking for THOSE things??? And how come the ones who claim to be looking for those things, don't ask me out!? I can't help it if I'm intimidating! If I intimidate anyone, it's because I know who I am, and what I bring to the table. I don't do it intentionally. I'm not mean, or condescending, or patronizing. I'm accepting, and outgoing, and friendly. I'll talk to anyone! But apparently people are afraid to talk to me. ((Sigh))I'm tired of doing all the work. All the heavy lifting, the worrying, the texting, making all the plans…I want somebody to make plans with me for once. Invite me out to dinner, or something. Text me goodnight. Call me when he's thinking of me. I just want somebody to be crazy about me.And I want to go back to the way I was.Where is that girl??And who is this person I have become?? Has the world really shaped me into this hardened, skittish, bitter, cynical, pessimist??I really am damaged goods.I think I may be losing faith in humanity.

Homeward Bound
Thursday, June 25, 11:10am. 4:14am Houston.
We're finally on our way home. Well, not home for me, but home for everybody else. After Camargue, we went to St. Tropez. We had to cut Marseille out of our trip, so St. Tropez was the one place were supposed to get dressed up and go out and enjoy the nightlife. But of course, that didn't happen. We found a campsite and decided to stay there for 3 nights, but it was on the other side of the bay! So it definitely wasnt close enough to St. Tropez to walk, and you had to either drive or take a ferry to get there. I really wanted to go out the first night, but Emma wouldn't quit bitching about her UTI and how tired she was, so we just stayed at the campsite. I mean, I was sympathetic the first few days, but 3 days of listening to her bitching and moaning to me, as if I'm a doctor and I'm holding out on her or something, starts to get old after a while. ((Sigh!))
So the next morning, we were forced to get up early because it was about 800 degrees in our tent. So we showered, and headed into the city, via ferry, to do some shopping. All the stores there were couture, and obviously very expensive, so neither of us ended up buying anything. But we got huge icecream cones, and that was the best icecream I've ever had. We walked around, window shopped, ate lunch, and looked at all the fancy yahts. Then we headed back to camp around 3. Emma wanted to take a nap, so I went to lay on the beach. I stayed there for a couple hours, and then around 6, I went back to the campsite. Emma was laying halfway in the tent, and halfway out. There was a man loudly trimming bushes with a chainsaw nearby. Emma made a comment about it being a "great" sleeping environment.
"Yea..." I agreed, "Well if we're gonna go out tonight we should probably start getting ready."
"Do whatever you want Peyton!" She snapped at me.
"G's, I was just saying!" I said back, then I walked off in disgust.
When I got back, she was still lying there. I started to gather my things for the shower.
"So...how are we gonna get there? And, even more importantly, how are we gonna get back?" Emma asked in a negative voice.
It's a voice I know all too well.
"Ok. If you dont wanna go out tonight, tell me now, cuz I'm about to get in the shower." I said.
"I do! Its just...we have no way of getting there! I mean, do YOU know how we're gonna get back??"
"I'm going to stop by the office and ask." I stated matter of factly.
Emma sighed in annoyance. "I just dont know what you want me to do!"
"Nothing! I just told you, I'm gonna stop by the office and see if there's a bus we can take."
Before she could respond, I left.
But, just my luck, the last bus was at 8. So there would be no way for us to get back to camp unless the boys could drive us. I asked the clerk about taxis, but she said they were ridiculously expensive. I sighed and walked back to camp in defeat. When I got back with all my stuff Emma asked me why I wasn't in the shower.
"Well we cant go out, so whats the point? I'll just take a shower in the morning."
"Why not?" She asked.
"Because we dont have a way to get back. The last bus is at 8."
"Well what about a taxi?"
"It costs like 30 euros. One way. Thats way too expensive."
"Well...you dont think it's worth it?" She whined.
"No. And what made you suddenly change your tune?" I asked, annoyed.
"I never said I didnt wanna go out!" She argued.
"Yea..." I decided to let that one go. "Well I'm gonna go get a bottle of wine or something." I set my things down.
Emma decided to come with me, and somehow we came to the agreement that we'd go to St. Tropez anyway, and figure out how to get back when the time came. So, an hour after I suggested we start getting ready, we went to the showers. By the time we were ready, we discovered that the last bus INTO St. Tropez had left an hour ago. How ironic. We asked the boys if they would take us, but of course they said no. Because they were "drinking and the traffic was bad". Of course that didn't stop them from driving out there at 12am in a drunken stupor the night before. Bastards.
But by this time, we were pretty determined to to something, so I changed into something more comfortable and we decided to walk over to Port Grimauld. We went and sat on a dock, with a bottle of wine and talked and watched the sunset with our feet dangling in the water. Then Emma had to go to the bathroom, so we had to run back to the campsite to pee. As we were walking, 2 boys shouted at us from their window. Luckily, they spoke English. They asked if we wanted to come up and have a drink with them. We said sure, we'd be right back. Cuz Emma was talking about how bad she had to go. Then, of course, she chastised me for telling them that.
"Well you should have said something! All you've been talking about is how bad you need a toilet!" I said.
"Well yea, but I could have waited." She said.
I sighed, exasperated, and we kept walking. We had to stop by the tent to get toilet paper first, cuz there wasnt any in the bathroom. And as soon as we walk up, what do we see, but Stajno trying to get into our tent, which I had cleverly combination locked!!! As soon as he saw us, he tried to play it off like he just wanted to borrow a beach mat. But we weren't buying it. When we got back to the dock, the boys were gone; go figure. So we walked around for a while, drinking wine all the while, and then headed back. There was a crappy cover band playing so we went to watch. We sat down at a table next to a couple cute Frenchies and ordered 2 lemoncellos.
After a while, we got tired and bored and decided to call it a night. As we were walking back to the tent, I heard a "Madamoiselle!"
I paused and turned. It was the tall dark haired boy from the table next to us. I could tell he was much younger than I originally had thought. He began speaking to me in rapid French.
"Whoa whoa...par le vous Engles??" I asked.
He made a confused, frustrated face and shook his head.
I looked at Emma, she shrugged. Then, using the best body language he could, while speaking slowly, he asked us if we'd like to go back and have a drink with him and his friends. Lucky Emma took a couple French classes in high school. We accepted his invitation, and followed him back to where we'd just come from. His friends included the not so cute guy he'd been sitting with, and our waiter from earlier, who, thankfully, spoke English. He translated to us that when he got off work, they were going back to his place to have drinks. I asked how old they were. The waiter responded with 19, 20 and 22. Ouch! And of course, the cute one was the 19 year old. We definitely needed an out. So we asked how long it would be till he got off work. He said an hour. So we said we'd meet them back there in an hour. Then we went to bed. I did feel a little guilty standing them up, but...not THAT guilty. Best not to put myself in those kinds of situations. As we were getting into bed, Emma felt something prickly in her sleeping bag. It was my necklace! Could that have been what Stajno was up to trying to get into our tent?? Hmmm...
The next morning, we left. We all decided 3 days was just too long. On our drive out of town, we stopped twice to swim. We were driving right along the coastline and there were several beautiful blue beaches. St. Rafael was my favorite, with its huge red rocks, and it's turquise waters. It was awesome! There was coral, and fish, and beautiful rocks. I even swam with a school of fish! I felt like a mermaid! Haha. We spent so much time swimming, that we didn't make it as far driving as we'd planned. So we picked another campsite in Italy for the night. Now we have about 10 hours left, and we've been having to stop like every half our so Emma can pee, so its looking like we'll be back by tomorrow. ((Sigh)) I'm so sick of being in the car. The stupid boys keep eating our food and its pissing me off. I mean, they insist on buying nasty canned food, literally EVERYTHING they buy is canned. Then they give us shit for our huge bag of groceries, but of course, when they run out of canned meat surprise, they wanna eat our food. And Emma just lets them, otherwise we'll have to go out of our way, wasting time finding and shopping at a grocery store, since they refuse to eat at a restaurant. Ugh...
We're finally on our way home. Well, not home for me, but home for everybody else. After Camargue, we went to St. Tropez. I Just Can't Get Over It
Ladies!
There are wonderful guys out there!
Don't give up!!
Haha, I don't mean to rub it in or anything, it's just...I'm so happy! And things are so...simple!
There's no drama.
No second-guessing myself.
No second-guessing how he feels about me.
No worries!
Just...bliss.
This weekend I went to the Renaissance Festival again with my Mom to get my dress for Sophie's wedding. I found the perfect dress, but it was like $450!! I bought it anyways. Lol. It's a shimmery black/burgundy corset with burgundy fleurs and a long burgundy chemise. It's really pretty! I can't wait to wear it! I invited Brandon to come with me to the wedding too, and he said he would. So tonight I put both of our names in the request off book for that weekend. :)
So almost everyone at work knows about us now, but there are a few people who still don't know. But now, I don't care who knows! I have an amazing boyfriend, and I'm happy to tell people!
Tonight is the first night in a really long time that Brandon isn't staying with me. He's starting his new position at the engineering firm tomorrow, so he wanted to make sure he got lots of sleep. I'm so proud of him! Of all the guys I've ever been with, he's the hardest worker. I mean he's a real go-getter. He's good at making things happen.
Anyways, I'll stop bragging about him now, it's just that I can't get over how great he is! Every day is better than the last! And it's not just that everything seems perfect, it's that it's real. ((sigh))
I'm leaving for New Orleans on Wednesday for Thanksgiving. It's gonna be a long boring drive with my dad, and a long 5 nights without Brandon...
But, like they say, "absence makes the heart grow fonder"!
I hope everyone has a happy and safe Thanksgiving Holiday! I'll try to write again soon. Hopefully my next post will be more exciting!

Back In The Picture
On Sunday Brandon got in from Florida around 2am. And he came over!!
We had another deliciously wild night, complete with cuddling. :)
There's just something about the way he pulls me close and puts his arm around me... And he's so warm, and his skin is so soft, but his muscles are so hard, and it's just so damn sexy... ((drool))
Anyways, on Sunday during the day, I went with Bethany to a photoshoot for a website. It was so awesome! Obviously we didn't tell anyone there that I was a photographer, because we didn't want people to think I was trying to steal anyone's ideas. But it was good because I got to check out her equipment, and see how she uses it and stuff. So I now I have a much better idea of what kind of lighting I need, etc... And that's definitely the next big thing on my list of things I absolutely have to have! I can't wait to get lights and backdrops and start shooting again! It's gonna be awesome.
Oh, and Bethany is now the new face of a superchic vintage website. She looks totally fab.
Yesterday I went to Ikea and finally bought a stand for my ancient 2-ton television. With all the flat panels these days, it's become almost impossible to find an entertainment center that will support the weight of my TV! Lol. But I got a nice one with lots of storage for under $200!! My living room is finally starting to look like a living room! Now I just have to put up my DVD stands and paint. That's next on my list for this week. I need to pick up some special screws from the hardware store, and pick out the perfect shade of green.
Brandon came over again last night and helped me with my TV. :D
He was looking through my DVD collection, and he hasn't seen over half of them! But he doesn't watch a lot of TV, or so he claims. I, on the other hand, am a DVD collector. I never rent. Hehe. So my collection is huge.
I still haven't gotten, or even looked for a Halloween costume. Ugh. But I think I'm going to be Kelly from the "Shoes" video on youtube. Lol. Because I already have that shirt from the "Let Me Borrow That Top" video (Sophie got it for me for Christmas last year, lol) and I have some striped tights. So really all I need is a blond wig and some black framed glasses. Lol. And then I won't have to be slutty! HA!
I am, to my dismay, off again this Thursday. I don't know why they gave me the night off, cuz I need the money! So I'm desperately trying to pick up a shift. Brandon is working the whole weekend, so that should be interesting. It'll be our first time working together since...you know...
We both agreed we don't want things at work to be awkward, or weird, and we're not telling people either. The only person that knows is Bethany, and probably Tug, and Summer. But I don't even know if he's told Summer that we're sleeping together. Sooo, hopefully word doesn't get out.
I still wonder about John every once in a while... Why we can't even seem to get it right. Maybe he doesn't really like me that much. Maybe it's just sexual chemistry. Maybe it's just the whole "what if" scenario that's got me curious. I dunno. But I'm not that concerned about it anymore, I mean...what's the point? Things with Brandon and I are going great so far, we have lots of fun together, and he calls me almost every day. So I think this is a good thing. Only time will tell...

Shopping Therapy
I had such an amazing day!!
Last night at work, Bethany invited me to go shopping in Austin for the day with her and our coworker/manager, Cameryn. I was a little hesitant at first, because I've never really hung out with Cameryn outside of work. I mean, I've always liked her, but truth be told, I've always been a little intimidated by her since she's one of my managers, and since she's my only female manager. But she's also a bartender so, I actually get to work side by side with her sometimes, and she's awesome.
And we had a total blast!! Bethany picked me up around 11 this morning and we drove up to work to meet Cameryn. The drive went by quickly. We just chatted about all kinds of stuff. Then when we got to Austin, we met up with another girl, Katie, who used to work at our bar before I started working there. Now she lives in Austin with her boyfriend and works for Redken. So we had lunch, margs, and mojitos! Then Katie took us all around town to the best boutiques (most of which I had already been to). And I came home with some really great steals too! Of course now I'm exhausted from our day of running around. But I've got the whole night (er...morning...) and all day tomorrow to relax and rest up before work.
I haven't even spoken to BJ since he went back to Huntsville. He was in Spring for the Easter weekend with his dad, but now he's back to having no phone. ((sigh)) And lately I've been having these sudden, intense pangs of buyer's remorse! You know, about the whole boyfriend/girlfriend thing. I'm just not sure I'm ready for it! And I mean...I just keep thinking, I know I'm not gonna marry this guy, he's not The One or anything like that so... So what am I doing?? Am I being selfish? Am I wasting his time? Am I wasting my time??? I mean, don't get me wrong, I like him a lot! I just...can't stop overanalyzing. ((sigh)) What is wrong with me?! Things are just so different when I'm there in Huntsville with BJ. It's like, I can just forget about everything else and enjoy myself, and enjoy his company.
I just wish I could actually talk to him. Maybe then I could stop thinking about all this crap.
Demetri Of The Day:
“I was making pancakes the other day and a fly flew into the kitchen. And that’s when I realized that a spatula is a lot like a fly-swatter. And a crushed fly is a lot like a blueberry. And a roommate is a lot like a fly eater.”

New York: Part II
OK! Sorry to keep you guys waiting so long but now it seems like I have so much stuff to write about, I can barely keep it all in my head! So I really need to get you all caught up! So, back to New York!
Day 2
Even though Shane and I shared a bed, we both slept comfortably, and woke up refreshed and ready for a new adventure. We all showered and got ready and then headed back out to Canal St. to finish our shopping. The weather was even cool enough for me to wear my new leg-warmers! Shane got a really awesome fake Coach, and I got some Dolce sunglasses and another new hat! After Canal, we went to Lombardi's FAMOUS pizza for lunch/dinner. And all I have to say is that was the most amazing pizza I have EVER had!!! OMG! I'd go back to NYC just to have another slice!
So we left feeling very stuffed and headed over to Soho, where we found some really awesome shops and boutiques! And believe it or not, they weren't over the top expensive! I got a great pea coat with military buttons down the front, and Shane got a new dress. Evan also got a new coat, a long wool black one. He said he felt more like a New Yorker wearing it. Lol. We took tons of great pictures too!
Around 7 o'clock we decided it was probably time to start heading back so Shane and I could get gussied up for our night out. We stopped at a Starbucks on the way back to warm up because we had a pretty long walk ahead of us!
Now, I'll skip all the boring showering and applying of makeup and get right on to the part where we headed out. Well, Shane's Dr. New York called while we were fixing our hair and said he was getting out of his surgeons convention early, and would be able to join us for the evening! Which worked out great for us since he also offered to drive and show us around to the best places. When he got to our hotel, my first impression was that he was very...proper. And gentlemanly. Almost in a non-convincing way...if ya know what I mean. Not that he was a dog or anything, but Evan and I were both in agreement that he was speaking to us like we were either his children, or his patients. Granted, he is 36, which is great for Shane, since she likes "older, successful men". BAH! More like older more boring men! But I really shouldn't speak badly of him cuz he was a nice guy.
So he took us to the meat-packing district, which is, believe it or not, where all the really swanky bars, clubs and lounges are. We hit several bars that night, but most of it is lost on me because I was so obliterated drunk. Haha! I do remember going in Hogs & Heifers, which is the original Coyote Ugly, where the movie was filmed. And one of the bartenders (a girl!) kept telling me to take off my bra and add it to the large collection already hanging behind the bar. But, I had no trouble resisting.
Unfortunately, I didn't meet any cute boys, and Shane and Dr. NY spent most of the night snogging, so...Evan and I tried to have a good time without looking like we were "together", so as not to discourage attractive people of the opposite sex. Let's just say we must have failed miserably. Oh well! We still had a blast, and if I was drunk enough not to remember large chunks of the night, then it must have been a good one!
Finally we made it back to our hotel, although I don't recall the drive...or the elevator, or even getting in bed. I DO remember though, Dr. NY suddenly busting out with a fully inflated queen sized air mattress in the middle of the floor like he was Inspector Gadget or something! I was laying in my bed when it happened, and I remember looking up over at Evan, in his bed; the look on his face said exactly what I was thinking: "What the hell!? Who IS this guy!?" Lol. I can't even begin to describe...
But I must have passed out quite soon after that because the next thing I remember is waking up, and rolling over to tell Shane good morning, and seeing, not Shane, but EVAN!
Mitch Of The Day:
"I like those blow-up beds. "This becomes a full size bed in three minutes!" Well, a mattress kicks your ass. Zero seconds. "Yeah, but you can store this thing." You can store a bed, too - in the bedroom."

New York: Part I
Tuesday night, I picked up some take-out and headed over to Evan's apartment. His roommate was our ride to the airport and our flight was at 7:30am, so I didn't wanna run the risk of being late. So I just stayed the night at his house. Sharing a bed was a bit awkward because of past experiences but...I figured we should probably get used to it.
The flight to New York wasn't so bad. Evan and I made it to our gate just as they were calling our row, so we got right on. Neither one of us could sleep for the excitement!
When we arrived and got our bags we went out in search of a cab. My first sights of the airport weren't that impressive, although the weather was nice and cool. About 60 degrees.
"Ok, we have to get a cab outside, from a marked car. Not from these guys asking us if we need rides, because they could be swindlers." Evan said.
"Wow, I didn't even think of that. Good call."
So we walked down the street a ways, following the taxi signs. And just as we were about to cross the street, a short man in a suit with a thick accent approached.
"Do you need a cab?" he asked.
I blatantly ignored him, but he persisted.
"I take you for $45 plus tolls. Cab??"
Evan kinda hesitated, and then said, "Yea...we need to get to Manhattan."
My eyes popped out of my head. I gave him a look that said, "What are you doing!?"
But the "cab driver" was already taking my suitcase and walking briskly away.
"Follow me!" he said.
Once the driver was out of earshot I began angrily hissing in Evan's ear.
"How about practicing what you preach Evan!? Are you crazy!? This guy could be stealing our bags! I don't like this! I don't trust him!"
"Well, if he takes us to an unmarked car, then we'll turn around." he said.
"We better!" I huffed.
But sure enough, he brings us to a white, unmarked van. I started giving Evan the look again. The driver was already loading our bags in the back.
"Uh...do you have some kind of ID or something?" Evan asked.
"Oh! Of course I have ID! Here you go, see??" he handed Evan a business card.
I still was not convinced. But we got in anyways.
I sat down in my seat and sent Evan a text that said, "I DON'T LIKE THIS!"
He just rolled his eyes at me.
Well, needless to say, we made it to our hotel. The drive was amazing! My first sights of New York City! I drank it up greedily. The tall buildings, the amazing skyline, the buildings with fire escape stairs down the sides! (I'd only ever seen those in movies.)
The hotel was small, squeezed in between 2 apartment buildings on a numbered street in the heart of downtown Manhattan. There was even a dog walking park across the street! It was all so quaint. We checked in, and took the one small elevator up to the 7th floor to our room. The first thing I wanted to do was shower. I hadn't taken one that morning because we had to get up at 5, and it was starting to sink in how gross I felt. There were no bathrooms in the rooms; there were 2 bathrooms for the hallway, which consisted of about 8 rooms. It was like being back in the dorms in college, walking down the hall to the bathroom with a bag of toiletries and a towel. Haha. But they were very clean, so no worries. And I felt a million times better afterwards.
So, our first order of business was to do some exploring! Shane wasn't due to arrive until later that night, so we had a few hours to kill. I don't know if I've mentioned this before, but I'm sort of an amateur photographer. So I grabbed my huge camera bag, and Evan and I headed out. I snapped tons of pictures everywhere we went. New York is the most exciting and interesting place to photograph!
We headed to the subway first. That was super exciting! We bought a 6 ride pass, and hopped on the 6. We went to Little Italy first, because we were starving! The hotel provided some great maps in the brochure rack. We probably went through about 8 of them throughout our trip! We walked past about 15 Italian restaurants, looking for something special, but finally we couldn't stand our hunger anymore and just ended up going into a random restaurant. But it was, by far, the best pasta I've ever had! And we each had a glass of wine with our meal.
We finally left the restaurant at dusk, and feeling full to the brim. Our next stop was Canal Street. Canal Street is known for its street vendors selling knock-off bags, watches, perfumes, and jewelry. But I really wanted a faux-Chanel bag!
I ended up getting 2 bottles of my favorite perfume, a bag, a pair of sunglasses, and a hat! Lol. Evan looked at watches, but didn't buy anything. I took lots of pictures of the street too. It was so cool walking around like real New Yorkers! Except my camera and Evan's map probably gave us away. Haha.
At about 7 we headed back to the hotel to wait for Shane. And by this time, I was exhausted. So I decided to take a powernap. Evan, on the other hand, had ants in his pants and wanted to go do something! I kept telling him we didn't have time to leave and come back before Shane arrived, but he just wouldn't calm down! And he wouldn't let me sleep either. He was driving me nuts! Eventually, he said he was gonna go take a shower, and I finally got to sleep.
About an hour later, there was a knock at the door. It was Shane!
"I tried calling you a bunch of times, but it kept saying all the circuits were busy!" she said, "But the guy at the desk told me what room ya'll were in."
"Well I'm glad you made it! Isn't this awesome?!" We squeeled and jumped around for a minute while Evan rolled his eyes. Lol. Then I showed Shane all the cool stuff I bought on Canal St.
"I hope you're not tired of it yet cuz you know we have to go back there tomorrow!" Shane said.
"Of course!! You can never shop too much in New York City!" I laughed.
Evan rolled his eyes.
"Poor Evan didn't know what he was getting himself into coming to New York City with 2 girls!" I teased.
After we were all settled in we started discussing what to do that evening. Evan was ready to get the hell out of the hotel, but Shane and I still needed to get our sexy on. By the time we were ready, it was already almost midnight, but hey! Bars in NY are open till 4 am!
So we hopped in a cab and headed for Times Square. We took pictures on the corner and "oohed" and "aahed" at the sights. The big screens, the lights, the billboards, the marquees...EVERYWHERE! So beautiful! Then we walked around in search of a bar to hang out in. Most of the places were restaurant/bars, and we didn't wanna go into one of those, so we wandered out of Times Square and found a little Irish Pub. We went inside, sat down at the bar and ordered a round of drinks.
"Hey, are there any good bars around here besides this one?" I asked the bartender. He kinda gave me a superior look, a look that said he knew we were tourists and replied, "Well...not really for the way you guys are dressed. Where are you from?"
"Texas!" Shane said, "And this is how we always dress!"
"Well, this is New York City! I mean, you don't have to dress up here, we just go out in sweatshirts and jeans. You guys are dressed more for a lounge or something."
Then he made us a list of a couple different bars, and their cross streets. So we thanked him and headed on to our next destination...
...Which ended up being another Irish Pub!
"What is this an Irish Pub Crawl?" I said. Evan and Shane laughed.
"Well what about this place?" Shane pointed at one of the bars on the list, "The bartender said we were dressed for this one."
"Yea but that's a jazz lounge." Evan pointed out.
"Well...I'm up for whatever, I just need a drink!" I said.
So we had another round, and then decided to just walk around the area we were already in and try to find another bar. We walked into 2 others. One was closing early, so we never actually made it in the door, and the other was a dimly lit basement bar, with pool tables and such. The bartender was really nice, and we joked with her about the couple making out in the corner. They seriously looked like they were about to tear each other's clothes off and start going at it right there on their table!
And then, we ready to call it a night. With four more days of sightseeing, barhopping and shopping ahead of us, we all figured it was a good idea to get some rest. So we hopped a cab back to the hotel. Shane and I were awfully cozy in our twin bed, but we both slept great! And when the sun came up, we were ready for Day 2 of NYC!
Mitch Of The Day:
"I hate sandwiches at New York delis. Too much meat on the sandwich. It's like a cow with a cracker on either side. "Would you like anything else with the pastrami sandwich?" "Yeah, a loaf of bread and some other people!'"

Boy...Friends??
Friday was so much fun! I picked up Sophie from the airport, and we went straight to the spa to get pedicures. I caught her up on all my boy drama, while we relaxed and got our toes painted. Then I went home and got ready for work.
Friday, Sophie went to work with my mom, and I went to the mall to get something to wear. I bought Sophie a new top and a pair of shoes, because I knew she most likely wouldn't have anything appropriate to wear out to midtown. I also got myself a sexy new black top. Sophie loved the outfit I picked out for her! When she got home, I was already ready to go, so I made her sit while I did her hair and makeup. She looked absolutely fabulous when I was done!
We met up with Melissa at Friday's for dinner and cocktails. I ran into an old friend from high school while I was there too! We'll call him The Thespian because he was all into theater and acting back then. He invited me to a housewarming party he was throwing Saturday, and we exchanged numbers, and flirted a little bit. So Friday's was fun, as always, although Sophie and Melissa were already heavily buzzed by the time we left. So not fair!
Well we got downtown, and headed to Rocbar, which happens to be one of my favorite spots. They play the most kickass music! The bartender bought us our first round of drinks, and then we ended up getting free shots from somewhere...it was awesome! Evan and some of his friends met us up there after about an hour. We also saw three girls from the last season of The Bachelor!! I totally got pictures with them, and then we all danced on top of the tables. Over all it was a total blast! By the end of the night though, I was the drunkest one! So Evan offered to drive Sophie and I home. He had ridden with one of his friends, so he didn't have a car.
Sophie invited him to spend the night since he didn't have a way back to his place either way. And that's when things got a little crazy... I dragged him into my room, I don't even really know what I was thinking! And we're laying in my bed, talking about who knows what, and he says, "I'm debating whether or not I should make a move."
I giggled, and before I knew it, we were making out.
And not too long after that, the clothes started coming off...
AH! Just thinking about it makes me feel...I dunno! I can't even explain it! We didn't have sex, which is good, because I'm trying to behave. But the weird thing is, I've just never really thought about Evan that way. I mean we've known each other since junior high school, and we've always been good friends, but we've never kissed, or anything! So when I woke up at like 7 am, naked, I figured it would be a good idea to get dressed and go to Sophie's room. It would only be a matter of time before one of my parents poked their heads in the door. It was a bit awkward, but no one was any the wiser. ((whew!))
I confessed to Sophie that we kissed, but I didn't give her any details. SHE thinks I should go out with him. And I dunno, I mean...I love Evan! I really do, but...do I really wanna go there??
I've done nothing but think about it since it happened, and he told me he feels really bad about everything because I was so drunk and all. But he was drunk too. Just not as much as me! And he said he thinks I'm "effing sexy as hell" :D I couldn't help but be flattered!
Ok. So yesterday, Vette Guy and I had plans. But by 4 o'clock I still hadn't heard from him! And I was starting to wonder... Then I get a text at 4:30 that says,
"Hey u..hope u hada good wk! i hav2go 2 england n tha mrnin and my bro just got back frm rangr training..can we get 2gthr when i get back?"
((sigh)) I should have known. I deliberated in my mind for a while about what I was going to reply, and if I was going to reply. I finally wrote, "I'll think about it."
His response was, "Umm ok..or not"
I said, ";) have fun in england you turd."
I decided to go with the flippant, idontreallycarethatyou'reblowingmeoff attitude. We'll see how that works out.
So I called up The Thespian to let him know I'd be at his party.
Which turned out to be really lame, and he kept hitting on me the entire night! Ugh. Not to mention I was exhausted from lack of sleep as a result of my little trist with Evan. So I tried my hardest to get the hell out of there. Now I have a persistant and very annoying admirer. ((sigh)) I dunno what I'm gonna do about him.
But as I was driving home from The Thespian's party, I just kept thinking about Evan. And what's the worst that could happen if we tried dating?
Well for one, it could go terribly wrong and I could lose his friendship...
But maybe it could be great! I mean he's a funny, sweet guy!
But everytime I try to cross that line with one of my friends, I start to feel weird and uncomfortable about it. And I've never been uncomfortable around Evan before. I don't wanna start now!
Well, I sent him a text at like 3 am that said, "What if, maybe, I liked you?"
I got his response this morning: "Get out! ((Elaine shoves Jerry)) I'd be shocked...I'm not really a model Peyton."
AAAWWWEE!! And I loved how he put the Seinfeld allusion in there! It made me laugh, and we both totally love Jerry. ((sigh))
WHAT DO I DO!?
Sophie's graduation party is tonight, followed by the work outing. I'll post again tomorrow.

A Little About Me And Then Some...
So, yay for all the comments!
Apparently somebody advertised me on Cosmo's Bedroom Blog, which means, apparently somebody actually reads this!! Which is awesome! I really like Bedroom Blog, and actually that's what gave me the idea to start this one.
And yes, I stole the "marry him and have a thousand of his babies" from there, but hey, I actually say that.
Anyways, so some of you were saying you wanted to know a little about me. Well I'm 23, and I live in Houston. I just graduated from a pretty upstanding university, but as of right now, I have NO CLUE what I want to do, which is why I'm bartending in midtown. I like to read, draw, and play the piano. I'm obsessed with music! I'm a total concert junkie! I have a horse, a dog, and a cat, who just had kittens! They're adorable! Umm...I have one younger sister, who is my best friend and I adore! She's so much more responsible than me...you'd think she was the older one.
I don't wanna give away too much personal info, so I'm not gonna say where I went to college or where I work.
I'm currently living with my parents until I can get back on my feet. And it TOTALLY. SUCKS. Seriously...
As for the boys, yes I am boy crazy, but NO, I am not a slut! I don't just sleep with guys on the first date or anything. The Model and I have known each other for...hmm...7 years now? So, I don't think sleeping with him makes me a loose whore or anything. And also, doesn't the fact that I'm in love with him give me a little credit???
((sigh)) Well, keep up the comments and I'll try to answer your questions.
Now let's get to last night...
I went out with Mitchel and Melissa, but as it turned out The Model had to head back to NY for "a fitting and a job" at the last minute, but he'll be back in a couple weeks. :)
I actually had a blast with M&M though, I totally love that girl!
We ate at Fridays and then headed to a local bar for some drinks. Melissa is SUCH a lightweight, she's hilarious! I tried to convince them to head out to midtown (my new fav party spot!) but there was no changing their minds. So after a couple drinks, I decided to text Eric (the guy from my California night) and see what he was up to.
BAD MOVE.
As soon as he told me where he was, I texted my good friend from high school, Evan to see where abouts in town he was, and it turns out he was right down the street from Eric. So I coerced Evan into meeting me there at midnight, and texted Eric to tell him that I was coming. To which he responded, "Awesome, call me when you get here".
First of all, the place was a TOTAL DIVE. Like...dark, and dirty, and really sketch. And I called Eric, but of course, he didn't answer. So Evan, his roommate (who's name I can't recall), and I went in and sat down. I tried to look around inconspicuously for Eric, but it was so freaking dark in there I could hardly make out any faces!
And then I saw him...
...Sitting at the bar making out with some dumb blonde! Ugh...
I wasn't really that broken up about it or anything; I mean he was just a random guy I made out with on a drunken night...but still. It sucks to be blown off by somebody you don't even really care about! So Evan and I laughed about it, and then we watched as he left the bar with the blonde. And I, being appalled, and somewhat catty, texted Eric saying, "Have fun with the blonde!"
Of course I got no response. I don't know why, but as I was driving home I just felt so...sad. It's like I just keep on meeting the same guy in different costumes! And they're all douchebags. I had a complete emotional breakdown on my drive home, complete with tears and emo music. Haha... But by the time I went to bed I felt better.
And this morning, I woke up to find a text from Eric that said, "She's just a friend silly, and I was totally wasted last night!"
YEA. RIGHT.
Like I'm ever going to talk to that sleazeball again...
However, I also woke up to find that my tuition refund had been deposited in my checking account over night!! WOOHOO!! So that called for some major shopping...and it just so happens that today is the first day of Nordstrom's anniversary sale. So I got a couple new outfits.
It's been so long since I've actually just been able to splurge on myself, ya know? I really needed that. And I had fun too because my good friend and super awesome cousin Jenna works there! So she was like my personal shopping assistant for the day.
And today's excitement isn't over yet! Harry Potter 7 comes out in one hour! Yes, I'm a total HP Geek. Hahaha! I'm going to Kroger to pick up the book at midnight, and then I'll probably stay up reading it till 5 am.
And I'm working tomorrow. Tomorrow is Saturday, my favorite shift of the week!
I wonder where we'll be drinking after hours this time...
