What Would You Do?

Yesterday morningish, my roommate told me she was going to meet a friend for lunch in the quarter. It's rare that she ever leaves the house, because she works from home and she is such a homebody she is rarely seen not in sweats or PJ's. But I was like, "Ok, have fun!" and then I left for work shortly afterwards.
Well later that afternoon, when I was on my way home from work, she texted me that she was on her way home from lunch, pretty buzzed, and bringing company. I didn't really think much of it, and went about my business. Well they came home a short time later, and I was in my room, editing photos and watching TV, so I didn't go out and introduce myself right away. Plus, they seemed a bit drunk, and I just wasn't in the mood. But eventually, I had to leave my bedroom, and they were both in the kitchen pouring wine. So Jenn says, "Hey, Peyton, this is my friend from high school, Steve. Steve, this is my roommate, Peyton." Steve looks like Kevin from The Office. Fat, bald, and stupid. Except instead of being sweet and harmless, he seemed really trashy.
Then Jenn tells me that they haven't seen each other in about 8 years, and have been catching up and drinking all day (which was obvious), and how she's never sure if she should tell people he was ahead of her in high school, or behind her, because he repeated 2 grades. ((eye roll))
Well I exchanged all the necessary pleasantries, got my glass of water, and retreated back to my bedroom. A couple hours later, they were still carousing and drinking and smoking in the backyard, which Jenn is pretty much always doing, so I wasn't paying them any mind. Then I started chatting with this guy on Tinder and we were talking about meeting out later, so I hopped in the shower and started getting ready. After I got dressed, I headed back into the bathroom to fix my hair, and I heard a loud crash from the back yard. Both of our bathrooms are in the very back of the house, with windows looking out onto the garage/porch/backyard area. It's pretty small. So I go to look out the window to see what had happened, and Jenn and Steve are butt ass naked, fucking on the patio furniture!! Jenn, I might add, has a boyfriend of 5 years, who stays here every other weekend, and is sooo nice and helpful, and is always fixing stuff for us around the house. He even installed a new alternator in my old car for me, FOR FREE! So here I am, witnessing her cheating on this awesome guy (who is way hotter than she is, btw), with this DISGUSTING fat man, and I was just so in shock I didn't know what to do! I just had to get out of there. So I finished getting ready as quickly as possible, without even having fully confirmed plans with Tinder guy, and I just left. I ended up going to a small hotel bar I like, by myself, because I hadn't heard from Tinder guy in a while. I texted Bethany, and Lauren, and my cousin, Noelle, but none of them could hang out. So it was just me! Alone at this bar. But I actually ended up making a new friend, which was cool. His name is Mason, and he was sitting next to me at the bar with some friends, but he just started talking to me, and we ended up talking till midnight when the bar closed. Then he invited me to join him and 2 of his friends at another bar. So I went with them, we had another round, talked some more, and then I dropped Mason off at his car and went home. The great thing about it is, I wasn't interested in him sexually (he's only 22), I wasn't looking for anything except some people to talk to! And that's exactly what I got. And it was fun. He also happens to work in the same industry as me, he's a videographer. So we had a lot to talk about. We exchanged numbers at the end of the night, and perhaps we'll hang out again sometime. Who knows! I got home around 2:30 am, and Jenn and that dude were in her room, sleeping. Ugh. I think he's still here now actually. She hasn't shown her face all day. They've just been holed up in her bedroom. I don't know what to do about this. There is no way I will actively keep that secret for her. I won't even be able to look her boyfriend in the eye! She has to tell him. That is just so fucked up. I mean, they're planning to move in together when her lease here is up! That's this year! And she just cheated on him big time with some trashy fat guy! I don't get it AT ALL. Wtf is wrong with people?? What do I do?? I want to tell him, but obviously I can't, because I live with Jenn and that would make things really awkward between us, and of course, it's none of my business. I don't wanna be in the middle of their drama. But I won't lie for her. I won't.
What would you do?

Happy Halloweenie!

OMG! I just bought a brand new Canon SLR camera with 2 Canon lenses! I finally had enough money saved to get one, and I've been due for an upgrade for years. I'm so excited!!
Also, Lexi and I are buying our plane tickets to Orlando tomorrow! So many great things are happening right now! I'm so happy and busy that I've hardly had time to worry about boys! Lol. Not that that's a bad thing. These are definitely welcome distractions.
So how was everybody's Halloween weekend?? We were slammed at the bar, of course. Which is good cuz I definitely need the money, as always. Last night, Abbie and I had a PJ party at her place. We watched scary movies and drank wine. It was so nice to just relax after a long busy weekend. And I really like Abbie! She's a lot of fun, and goofy like me. I finally feel like I'm starting to find my niche here, and make some potential good friends. :)
But anyway, I seriously can't believe how fast this season is going by. I swear I'm gonna blink my eyes and it'll be Christmas already! And I'm so excited for this holiday season! I have so much fun stuff planned!
Tomorrow I have my second piano lesson. I'm not as prepared as I'd like to be, cuz I had critiques all week last week, but I've definitely been practicing really hard the last few days, and I can already tell I'm improving. So hopefully he'll notice... Keeping my fingers crossed!

An Ambiguous New Friend

So I'm taking a photo lithography class this semester, because I thought it would be an awesome way to tie in some new medium with my work. And so far so good! It's nice to really do some work with my hands once in a while. The class is a long one, 6 hours straight, but only once a week. It makes it easier to actually get some work done. Anyway, there's this guy in my class, Grady, and we've sort of chummed up because everyone else in our class sucks. Lol. Basically, he's got a very loud, in your face personality, which I happen to find entertaining, but most people can't handle. So we've become project partners, and have spent a lot of time together the last 2 classes. We finally started printing this week, after many lectures, and tearing paper, making film, and plates, etc... It's a lot of work, basically. So finally, today, we got to print some stuff. And boy did my hands get dirty! I'm still digging ink out from under my fingernails and I've washed and scrubbed my hands so many times they're raw!

But anyways... Grady is most definitely gay. He's flamboyant, he teases the TA, Andrew, in a slightly flirtatious way that makes him very uncomfortable, and he's always talking about his stylist. And I don't mean his hair stylist. But there's a point to me telling you this, which I'm getting to now...

So today, during our lunch break, which we were late taking because we got caught up in work, Grady has this brilliant idea to get cocktails with lunch. At first, I didn't think he was serious, but when he dragged me into Bennigan's and ordered 2 Goose on the rocks I finally believed him. But he was buying so I just sort of laughed and went along with him. We were only supposed to take about a 30 minute lunch, but it turned into an hour because we were actually at a sit down restaurant, as opposed to a grab n' go. And we were having a great time, bitching about the annoying people in our class, and talking about our jobs, and just life in in general. He's a really fun guy! I mean, not someone I'd want to spend every waking minute with, but definitely a fun guy.

So then he orders a second round! I tried to protest, even to the waitress, but Grady wasn't having any of it! And of course, by the time the waitress actually brought the drinks, we both had to literally suck them down because we were going to be late getting back to class! On our way back to class, Grady starts singing, "That's What Friends Are For" very loudly, and scared a little old woman. Then he went into a fit of hysterical giggles, complete with snorting and tears, which I couldn't help but catch. We literally almost didn't make it back to class. It was quite ridiculous. Lol.

"OMG Grady, get it together, or I'm going in there without you!" I said as we were about to reach the door to our classroom.
He was still having fits over that old lady he scared.

"Are you drunk??" I asked him, laughing.

"NO! Are you kidding me?? If I was drunk we would be having sex in public right now!" He slapped my arm jokingly.

At this remark (which was actually more graphic when he said it, I just can't remember the exact wording), I was literally speechless, and it took me a second which seemed like an eternity to recover, because never in my life have a known a gay man to refer to himself having sex with a woman. NEVER. And it's not like I'm living under a rock or anything, guys! So I kind of just laughed it off like "yea right". But then I started to wonder... And I noticed he said something else about gay men always hitting on him, because he's so "friendly". And then he mentioned how everyone in Austin is bi, but not gay, and he thinks it's weird or something. Oh yea! And when we were rolling out ink, he said something about "gay hands". So... WTF?? Grady HAS to be gay. Whether he's admitted it to himself, or to the public, I'll shit a poodle if he's not! I mean, he has a purple iPhone, a purple backpack, he works at J. Crew, carries a Louis Vuitton bag, with a matching hand mirror and makeup bag full of different kinds of chapsticks.

Is it rude to flat out ask someone if they're gay? I just get the feeling that someone in his position probably gets that a lot. I mean I definitely think he is, but I don't want to offend him. And he definitely implied that he's not gay. So what gives?

A Night Out With New Friends

So ever since I moved to Chicago, Bethany has been pestering me to hang out with her friend, Carissa. She put us in touch and Carissa and I texted back and forth several times, but whenever she would invite me out, I was always working, or at improv class or something. So last night, I had the night off and I didn't want to waste it, so I texted her to see if she was doing anything. And sure enough, she told me where he crew was at and told me to get my ass up there ASAP. So I put on a cute new outfit, fixed my hair, pulled on my boots and I was out the door.
No more sitting at home thinking about where I must have gone wrong with Bill!
The bar I met them at was big, and really pretty awesome. TV's and people everywhere, good music, and hot bartenders. My kind of spot! I finally found them in the back at the bar. Carissa and I hugged and exchanged, nice to finally meet you's and then she introduced me to her friends: Briana, Ross, and Reggie. It turns out that Briana and I actually met a couple of weeks ago through another mutual friend. So we sat and chatted, and I sucked down drinks as fast as I could trying to catch up with everybody. They had all been drinking since 3pm, while I was still at work. Ross bought us all a round of shots, and everybody was so cool and so nice, it felt like I'd known these guys for ages!
About an hour later, we all decided to head to another spot. While we were outside hailing a cab, who walks up, but Wes! WTF? It's a small world. But he knows Carissa apparently, which I supposed shouldn't surprise me. All us Texas people seem to know all us Texas people. Lol. But Wes didn't come with us, I didn't see him again after that. We went to Reggie's place, which is a really nice high rise loft overlooking the river. We all shotgunned beers on his balcony, and then left. Lol.
So we headed to Carissa's favorite bar after that and it was PACKED. I mean seriously packed. So we walked around looking for a spot to chill, and the guys got separated from us. Briana decided to bail cuz she was too drunk and she gets embarrassed being drunk in public. Lol. So then it was just me and Carissa. We talked, and she laughed at the fact that I'd never heard of, let alone been to, any of the bars that she frequents. It feels really strange not knowing the bar scene like the back of my hand the way I do in Houston. But it's almost liberating. Everything is new and exciting again!
Eventually Ross and Reggie made their way back to us, and we decided to hit up yet another bar. Haha. Carissa was hungry and knew about a good spot that was still serving food. When we got there, 2 more guys and another girl showed up! A guy who's name I never got, a girl who's name I never got (but they were both cool!) and Josh. Josh immediately saw me and was like "Fresh meat!" and sat down right next to me. Hahaha. He was really sweet and we talked about New Orleans for like 30 minutes. He's about to open a bar somewhere in town.
We all grubbed on the best nachos ever and then headed to our next destination. Everywhere we went there were ridiculous lines, but somehow we never had to wait in any of them! Someone always knew someone! It was great. But at the next bar we went to, only us girls got in and security wouldn't let the boys in. So Carissa took me in just for a short tour, cuz she said this is the spot to be, and I just had to see it. But we didn't stay, cuz it was cold outside, and we didn't want to keep the boys waiting. But when we got back outside, they were gone! Apparently they got tired of waiting for us, so us 3 girls hopped another cab to the bar the guys were at. This place was also superpacked. It's been so long since I've been like out out on a Saturday night, I guess I forgot what it's like! It was already almost 3am, so we decided this would be our final destination for the night. Ross and I pretended we were twirling 2 jump ropes, double dutch style, and got random strangers to pretend they were jumping rope. It was hilarious. Josh teased me about my high heels and told me not to wear them again. Lol. But in a joking way, not a serious insecure kind of way.

"You have to come tailgating with us tomorrow!" Carissa shouted over the blaring music.

"What time?"

"We're meeting at my place between 9 and 10."

"Man...I don't know if I can do that. I mean I really want to, but I only got 4 hours of sleep last night cuz I had to be at work at 9am today! And I never took a nap!" I laughed.

"Well you should try to come! It's going to be a lot of fun, everybody's going!"

"Alright, I'm in!" I agreed maybe a little too readily, but I'm not in a position to turn down really fun friends!

Before we left, all the guys asked me if I'd be there tomorrow. I assured them that I would be, and said goodnight to everyone. Carissa and I split a cab home, and she told me she'd text me in the morning.

I didn't make it to the tailgate, however. I completely slept through my alarm! I don't know how any of them managed to get up, considering how much drinking they all did yesterday. But I might still be meeting up with everybody, I'm just waiting to hear back from Carissa if they're going out after tailgating.

So YAYYY for new friends!! :D

I Got The Job!

And I've been working every day since. I figured I might as well get the first part of my training over with so I can start making money again. So I worked Thursday, Friday, tonight, and tomorrow is my first shift on my own. WOOHOO MONEY! Lol. So far, it's ok. I mean, I'm just waiting tables, and all my little pet peeves are starting to come back. I used to HATE waiting tables, and this is no exception, but I had to make a sacrifice. So be it. Money is money. And I love all the people, and Caleb is soooo nice, and so cool. Everyone that works there loves him. It's a really laid back, family-like atmosphere, which is just what I've been looking for. And best of all, I don't have to be embarrassed of where I work anymore! Lol. And Sophie and Brent will actually come in and see me! In fact, Brent has already been in to have a drink with me after work once. Sophie is in Mexico for the summer, doing some kind of work study/internship, something or other. I miss her. :/
But now that I have stuff going on, and it's keeping me busy, I'm not miserable anymore! Yay!

On top of all that, you'll never guess who texted me Wednesday, the day I got the job.

NICOLE!!

Here's our convo:

Nicole: I officially quit [name of bar]

Me: Why so quick to leave your "family"? Did someone go behind YOUR back and forward an entire facebook conversation to Brandon?

Nicole: Nope just time to move on.

Me: Well good for you. Now delete my number.

Nicole: Done and done!

Bitch. It felt so good to finally say something to her. What a fucking cunt. She better hope I never run into her...

Anyway, I've spent a lot of time thinking about how much fun Monday night was, and now much I love everyone in my class. But one person in particular keeps popping into my head.
Lane. The ginger. Lol. It's weird thinking of him that way, but that's what he is!
He has like...turquoise eyes, and such a nice smile, and he's funny, and easy to talk to. He also has a beard and a mustache, which is strange, because I'm usually not into facial hair. But his just...fits. So he could be someone I could potentially be interested in. But...I've only hung out with him once, so we'll see. I'm sure we'll go out again this Monday after class. I can't wait!

Let's Improvise

Well I think I have a job lined up. Hopefully... It's at a neighborhood bar right down the street from Sophie and Brent's place. We go there a lot actually. It's super chill, you have to be 23 to get in, they have an great beer selection, a supercool staff, and a realllly nice owner/manager. I put in my app last week, and the bartender told me they definitely need someone, so I've been in several times since to hoping to catch Caleb (the owner) so I could introduce myself, and maybe talk to him. But he apparently has a very busy schedule and I kept missing him. But finally, one of the bartenders gave me Caleb's email address and said that would be the best way to get hold of him. So I sent him an email the other day, and he asked me to come in and talk with him tomorrow! And I don't think he would want me to come in if he wasn't going to give me the job. The only catch is, I'm going to have to start out waiting tables. Apparently one of their bartenders put in his 2 weeks, so until he leaves, I'll have to wait tables. But I agreed, just because I really wanna work there. So I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

In other, super exciting news, last night I started my improv class. The class itself was hilariously funny, and amazingly fun! I couldn't believe how easy it actually was to get on a stage in front of strangers and do weird stuff. Granted, I wasn't alone doing the weird stuff, but still. I was definitely nervous going into it. Afterwards, we all walked outside together, and someone suggested we go out for drinks! Of course, I was down with that, so a small group from the class headed across the street. So here's the cast:
There was Rose, a tall girl with wavy blond hair; JJ, her super nerdy, tall, skinny boyfriend; Lane, a guy with naturally deep auburn hair and a disarming smile; Will, the big, funny bearded guy who you can't help but love; Bruce, a little bit older than most of the class, and definitely more responsible (he's an attorney); and Antonio, who we're all still trying to figure out...

So we spent the night drinking, talking and getting to know each other, and by the end of the night I was literally giddy about how much fun I'd had, and how easily I'd just made a handful of new friends!

Things are definitely looking up...

"Spring Break"

Oh my god, I've been working on the same project for like...6 hours a day, every day for a week. It's killing me! And I'm just so ready to be done! Ugh... After tomorrow, I'm free! I have a paper due, that I haven't even started on, since I've been so busy with this project, which is also due tomorrow. But Thursday, our "Spring Break" officially starts. All 2 days of it, that is. You don't actually get a whole week of Spring Break in art school, apparently. You get a whopping 2 days. FML. Well, the good news is, I'm actually off work this Thursday, so Sophie and I are going to go back to the improv theatre again, for the first time in over a month. We've both been so busy, and I've had to work every Thursday for the last 3 weeks cuz of St. Patrick's Day. The Saturday before St. Pat's is when everyone celebrates here, and I literally bartended for 12 straight hours. I left the bar twice. Once to scarf down a sandwich, and once to pee. And it was busy the ENTIRE time. But I did make more than my rent, just in that one shift, so that was awesome. But it took me a good 4 days to recover. And then my midterms started. Ohmygod, just thinking about the last 2 weeks is making my head swim! Lol.
Anyway, last Saturday I had a lot of fun at work! I got to work in the upstairs bar, which I've never done before. And the same 2 guys always work up there: AJ and Matty. Matty is a barback, but he serves drinks sometimes too, and likes to talk to people. And AJ is a bartender, he's one of the older people that works there. As in, older than me. Lol. Anyway, he and AJ spent the night playing pranks on me. It was a lot of fun, and I've sworn to get them back! And it looks like I'm going to have my opportunity this Saturday, cuz I'm scheduled to work with them upstairs again.
Well, I really gotta get back to my project. Only 4 pages left! I just really needed a break. Sorry I've been neglecting you guys. I'm just so busy ALL THE TIME. This is definitely not what I thought my life was gonna be like here in Chicago. Not that that's a bad thing, it's just...crazy!
Well, I'll try to write again after the weekend at the latest.

The Craziest Night...

So on Thursday night, while Sophie and I were at our traditional hangout, the improv theatre, she got a text from a friend about a photography gig at a charity date auction. Sophie's friend's boyfriend's coworker (Nicole) was hosting it. Does that make sense? Haha. Anyway, Sophie asked me if I would be interested in doing it. And since I'm still jobless, I said of course, even though I may not get paid anything. But I figured what the hell else am I gonna do? So Sophie gave me the Nicole's phone number with instructions to call her asap. I called Nicole the next morning and she filled me in on all the details. She told me it was going to be at a somewhat swanky club downtown, so when it was time to go, I put my heels and a dress on, gathered my camera equipment and hopped on the train.
When I got there, there was already a line going out the door, which luckily I didn't have to wait in, since Nicole already had me put on the list. My first impression of Nicole was that she's adorable and bubbly, and seemed like a really fun girl! She introduced me around, and told me to help myself to the open bar. But since I was working, and carrying a lot of equipment, I decided to hold off on the booze. The event went well, and I got a lot of great photos. Nicole was actually one of the people who were auctioned off. The "dates" took place immediately afterward in the VIP section, where the champagne was flowing. I hung around to get some more shots of the couples and figured I would take off after that.
"Oh my god, you have to stay and drink with us!" Nicole took my arm as I was gathering my things.
"Uh..."
"Come on! It's Friday night, and we have bottles coming! Just stay, it'll be fun!" She insisted.
So I agreed, and she practically thrust a glass of champagne at me. Lol. But I'm actually really glad I stayed. Nicole and I totally hit it off! It may have been the booze loosening me up, but she's so outgoing and disarming that it's hard not to feel like you know her already. Throughout the night, people kept coming up to me asking me, "So how do you know Nicole?" and when I told them we just met, they were shocked. It also turns out that she bartends on the weekends, and she said she could definitely hook me up with a job!
"Omg that would be awesome!" I said.
"Yea we just had a girl put in her 2 weeks, so that would be perfect! Can you come in tomorrow and meet the owners?"
"Sure!" I said. And the plans were made.
So I just sort of loitered around their table, mingling and talking with everyone. One guy in particular (Aaron) approached me and we started talking. At first I didn't think anything of it, because I'd had short conversations with several different guys, but when he didn't take his leave after 5 minutes, I figured out that he must be interested. Too bad he's like a foot shorter than me. But he was nice, and I was enjoying talking to him. Nicole was off being the social butterfly, and keeping an eye on her crush, Chris, who had also been auctioned. They had just had their first date, right before the event, and the girl who "bought" him was shamelessly throwing herself at him. Lol.
It turned out that Aaron was good friends with Chris, and had come to the event to support him. And he didn't really know anyone else either, so the 4 of all sort of linked up. Chris bought us all shots of Patron, and Aaron bought me a drink, and I'd already lost count of how many glasses of champagne I'd had. Let's just say it's been a long time since I've gone out and really partied, so I was totally throwing myself into this one. And it was great!
After a couple hours, people started to disperse and everyone was talking about heading over to another bar, a few blocks away. Aaron offered to drive us. So we all piled into his tiny BMW convertible.
On our way there, an old nasty looking van rear ended us! And then they tried to drive away! Of course we followed them. The van made a sharp right into an alley, but we were right on their tail. Then they made an immediate left, which turned out to be not such a smart move, because there was a car stuck in a snow drift, blocking their path. So the van was sandwiched between us, and the stalled car. Then they suddenly start backing up, and fast! We all simultaneously gasped.
"OMG they're going to ram us!" I said.
Aaron threw it in reverse and backed out quickly to the right. The van started backing out in the other direction, to face us. And as they did so, the people in the back opened the sliding door. The van was full of thugs! Nicole screamed.
"DRIVE! NOW! They're gonna shoot us!"
We were all panicked, and high on adrenaline, but Aaron gunned it down the next alley and they didn't pursue us. Too bad we got their license plates! Idiots... But seriously, it was scary! Finally we pulled over in what looked to be a safe neighborhood. I think Aaron needed to get his bearings and figure out where we were.
"I'm gonna take a look at the bumper." I said, and hopped out of the car. Luckily, there wasn't really any visible damage. Just a bit of paint transfer. I reported this when I got back in the car.
"Omg that was terrifying!" Nicole sounded shrill. "Let's get out of here!"
"Are you going to file a police report?" I asked Aaron.
"I don't know, what's the point?"
"Well, you could get them in trouble, I mean they were obviously trying to threaten us."
"Yea...I just don't know if it's worth it." He said.
"Ok, well gimme your number and I'll text you the license plate in case you change your mind."
Nicole and I had been chanting the plates out loud to memorize them. Lol.
So I texted him the plates and we drove off. We made it to the next club without incident, and headed inside. Most of the same people from the event were there, and they had a bottle of Grey Goose. I helped myself to a cocktail and Aaron and I danced a little. I'm not gonna lie, I was totally flirting with him. But it's been a long time since a guy has given me that kind of undivided attention and it felt...great! So I took advantage of it. Aaron is really nice, but I know I could never get over the height thing. I mean he's reallllly short.
Anyway, the club closed at 4, and at some point we lost Nicole and Chris, so we decided to hop on over next door for some pizza by the slice. Aaron paid for that as well. :) And boy was it satisfying! After that we hooked back up with Chris and Nicole and started the drive back home. Of course, Aaron dropped Nicole and Chris off first, and I was chattering away so much in my tipsy state, that I didn't even think about how far out of the way he might be driving me. When we were almost to my place, he asked if he could crash with me.
Awkward!
I mean, first of all, I just met the guy, so I was totally not comfortable with that idea, and second, I haven't been living with my roomies long enough to just bring random dudes over. I wouldn't want them to wake up at the buttcrack of dawn (like they always do) to find a stranger on their couch. Ya know? So I apologized and told him I didn't really have a place for him to sleep. Which is true, cuz it's not like I have a couch in my room. I can't really remember what else I said, but I'm sure I rambled. I tend to talk a lot in awkward situations. I thanked him profusely for the ride, and everything else, and we hugged and he kissed me on the cheek as I got out of the car. When I got back inside, I texted him another thank you, just for good measure. He responded with, "No problem. You're a sweetheart. See you soon?"
"Sure!" I said.
Then I peeled off my clothes, and crashed.

New Friends?

Ok it's 3am and I don't have much time to write, but I just wanted to jot down a few things before bed. My classes are going so great! I'm actually excited to do my homework...well, some of it. Lol. And I think maybe I made a new friend today! There was a new girl in my photo class that sat next to me, and something about her just seemed very...approachable. Maybe it was because she didn't have hot pink hair and facial piercings. Lol. Not that everyone in my classes does, but I go to an art school. You get a lot of interesting characters. Anyway, her name is Kate, and we talked a little during class, and then she walked with me to my train stop afterwards. Unfortunately she lives in the suburbs somewhere so she had a longer walk than I did, but we exchanged email addresses. And of course I'm going to see her again on Thursday. How lame is it that I'm excited about making my first possible friend? Lol.
Oh, and did I mention the hot guy in one of my other classes? The one that looks like Joseph Gordon Levitt? Well I have that class Monday and Wednesday nights, and this Monday, we went to watch a guest lecture in the auditorium for the first half of class. And he sat right next to me. And he asked if he could borrow my chapstick. Hehe. It's a little weird, yes, but so is he. I dig it. There's something about him that's so...raw. Like, he doesn't comb his hair at all, and his clothes have rips and stuff in them, although he does shave, so it's not like he looks completely unkempt. But I don't think he dresses that way and stuff because of a lack of hygiene or anything, I just think he doesn't care. I mean we go to an expensive private school. So unless he's like a whiz kid on a full scholarship, someone in his family must have money. Or something... I dunno, I guess it's too hard to judge some one's financial situation based on that, I'm mean look at me! I'm broke as a joke. But anyway, the good news is, I'm starting to meet people. And I'm really enjoying school!
