Today is Jake The Door Guy's birthday. I sent him a text last night at like 3:30am (since I'm a raging insomniac!) and he wrote back a thank you this morning at like 6:15.
Also, Friend Boy texted me a whopping three times today!! That's a record. I'll paste.
FB: What's goin on? How was ur day?
Me: Just finished watching a movie. My day was relaxing. How bout you?
FB: Pretty eventful. Lunch, school, haircut, grocery, workout, and am now getting chicken noodle soup. Woo hoo!
Melissa said not to respond, since he didn't ask a question, and he'd be sure to text me back. (I was on the phone with her when he was writing me.) Sure enough! I got another text 7 minutes later.
FB: Asked for extra everything on the soup and they came back with an exploding bowl of deliciousness! Yes!
He's such a dork. Lol. On Sunday, we went and ate at this deli, and he kept on raving about their chicken noodle soup. But when it came, he said it didn't have enough noodles. Again, I didn't respond. I'm just gonna play it cool for a while. Perhaps we'll switch roles for once.
And as for all the comments, I just wanna set a few things straight in a very nondefensive, nonconfrontational way. Not starting anything, just stating for the record.
1. I don not think I am "hot shit" by any means. I mean, judging by what people have told me, I would say that I'm better looking than "most" people, but I do not think I am flawless whatsoever. I'm just confident with who I am. I've been told I look like Terri Hatcher, and Jessica Beal in the face. As for my body, I'm tall and slim, but not thin. I would say my body is most like Katherine Heigl's. And I'm working to get some better tone for the summer. I also do not discount any girl for shooting for the stars. It's the way Charlotte literally throws herself at guys that disgusts me. I don't think I'm better than anyone, because who am I to judge who a person is on the inside?? All I can see is what is on the outside at a first glance. And I did apologize for my fat girl comment. I know I crossed the line on that one, I just got a little carried away in my venting.
2. I am not promiscuous, nor do I have a reputation for being so, nor am I anyone's call girl. Especially not Friend Boy's. Friend Boy has only slept with 1 or 2 other people, and he's not just looking for a piece of ass. I know we moved too fast physically, but hey, that was my call to make, and I don't regret it. I definitely will not do that with Jake The Door Guy, if it ever even comes to that.
3. I don't want any of you to think that I feel I'm superior to anyone else, or that I think I'm perfect, or that I'm shallow, or conceited. I have a multi-faceted personality. Sometimes the ugly in me comes out in my blogs, because I choose not to reveal that side of myself in person. We are all guilty of thinking mean thoughts. I just use this blog as a way to channel those thoughts...to get them off my chest. And usually, after I see them in writing, I realize how dumb they are. (i.e. the fat comment)
So basically...I'm about to reach 100 posts. Should I stop blogging? Am I doing more harm than good? I don't want this to be a medium where I feel guilty for the things I write. They're just my thoughts poured out on paper. Well not paper, but you know what I mean.
Demetri Of The Day:
“Swimming is a confusing sport, because sometimes you do it for fun, and other times you do it to not die. And when I’m swimming, sometimes I’m not sure which one it is. I gotta go by the outfit. Pants - uh oh. Bathing suit - okay. Naked - we’ll see. Should I be swimming faster, or am I getting laid?”

You are totally right.Blogs are a way to let off steam. As readers, we should keep in mind that this is YOUR blog and we're lucky to read your thoughts!! So DEFINATELY keep up the writing!! Make it to 200 blog posts, 300!!!
seriously keep writing please!
some people take it too personal and its not even their blog! if they dont like it..uhh exit out of it, duhhh. keep them coming please. =D
Keep writing!!! I've never left a comment before, but I read your blog all the time. I love it! It's interesting and funny, and for all those people who rag on everything you say that isn't 'nice'- maybe they should find another blog to read!
So keep 'em coming! Whether your thoughts are good or bad, we're here for you!

Don't stop writing!
I enjoy your posts. I can't understand how some people act when you say YOUR OWN THOUGHTS, why should they care? They simply can choose to not read your blog if they are so upset about what you write. If I don't agree with something you say, I just let it roll off because in the grand scheme of things- what you think, doesn't affect my way of life. Thanks for listening!
You have a right to write whatever you want. This is your blog. I am guilty of offering my opinion sometimes, but I hope that I do so in a way that does not make you feel guilty. If people do not like what they read, they are capable of not reading it. You should, however, always expect that there will be people who voice alternative opinions than you. But try not to care so much what they think. You know who you are! :-)
Making the choice of blogging or not blogging is obviously yours to make. I don't think that others can make you "feel" a certain way.. so if you are feeling guily that is something you need to address within yourself. Someone told me a long time ago that nobody can MAKE you feel anything... you do that yourself. I am the queen of feeling guilty.. but I realize that it is something I need to handle... and I can't expect the world to change it for me.
A blog should be something you enjoy. If you no longer do, then stop. It's pretty simple.
I hope you don't stop... Your blogs are the highlight of my day. Seriously! I love reading about your adventures. Some of them are pretty similar to mine! And I'm sorry if my comment about your "fat Charlotte" blog made you feel bad... but I think it just struck a chord in those of us who have or have had weight problems. And also, when you write sometimes you ASK for advice, comments, etc. So that made me (and others I'm assuming) feel that it was Ok to comment on something that affected us.
Keep blogging!!! Xoxoxo!
Don't be like all the other bloggers and stop blogging because of others comments. Since you have the comments turned on on your blog, people have the right to voice their opinions as you do with your blog. I like reading your blog, tho I do not agree with everything you say. But if I did then it'd probably be a boring blog! So don't let commenters get to you or if they do, simply turn the comments off. Hope you decide to stay!
peyton, don't listen to anyone. you said it yourself when you said this is YOUR blog and a way of letting off steam. i read it everyday and i would be very disappointed to see you not continue it. we have a lot of similarities and i enjoy seeing your perspective on things! you have actually made me consider starting my own blog, so PLEASE continue to write!!!! :) ~a
I have never commented here before, but I enjoy reading your blog, and if people get upset about what you say they don't have to read it, and you don't have to read their comments either. People are bound to take things out of context and get offended by things - but I can honestly say that your words are my thoughts a lot of the time, and if I had a blog (and perhaps a more exciting life to write about), I would end up saying a lot of the same things you say! So don't take what people write personally - they are just people on the internet, not people that you know, and getting upset with someone you don't know personally is just plain silly! Keep up the good work, I think you do a great job on this blog.
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE KEEP BLOGGING!!! i love this blog... please dont listen to those people. we only know a 1/4 of what is really going on. i am sure we dont hear everything... you would be typing all the time.
it is not their call as too how soon you should sleep with someone. and you should not be guilty for anything. if they dont like what they are reading they dont have to read it...
Please do not stop blogging at all I do enjoy to read your blogs. I wouldn’t say that I was totally devasted by your fat comments but It did hurt a little. What ppl don’t realize is words are more dangerous then guns. They can be used as weapons and when you but something out there regardless if is meant to hurt someone you have to be prepared to take responsibility for your words. Maybe Charlotte acts like this because she knows she is not in your league she know that she will never get that type of guy u date so maybe sometimes she feels inadequate around you and that is how she deals with her feelings. Please express your opinion but just remember this is not just a dairy that you’re writing for your eyes but can effect allot of young girls who is reading this blog. I am a very successful plus size model …. If I have to live by your words of setting the bar to high because I am not skinny I would have never became a plus size model . Just because your fat does not mean you have no hope. I can understand you were upset I know I have not said the rite things at times I can understand you had anger but don’t back now your blog is good I am sure you meant it in anger but unfortuanly you have to take the whiplash of your words but we luv you and we forgive !!!
keep blogging. it's good stuff. we all say and think stupid and hurtful things. and honestly, i don't find your blog offensive at all. i guess i know where you're coming from when you say certain things.
i like reading about your dating adventures.
good luck with jake and friend boy. :)
Keep on blogging girl and forget about the haters. In every facet of life, there is going to be someone who has to get you down, harp on where you went wrong and basically use their insecurities to attack YOU! It's your life, your blog and your time. Do it if you enjoy it. I know I do.
Oh, and I think the comments about you "having a reputation" is ridiculous! Granny must've slipped into the wrong blog this morning!
dont stop PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!! i read your blog when i get to my office and totally love it!!!!!!!!!!! people who get offended reading it should simply go and read something else!!! and btw we all say things sometimes we should not say but dont worry about it , you apologized for it and people should understand that we ALL make mistakes. if you still enjoy writting it please please keep on writting!!!
tc and hope to read from you soon!!!
xoxo
I was bothered by your fat comment, but I wasn't going to stop reading. Its your blog so you have the right to say and feel anyway you want. I think if you want to feel as if you "hot shit" then you should. If you want to go out and sleep with friend boy go ahead, I know I am not always a saint myself and I do not think anyone really is. Its your blog so if it is your way to let of steam then good, so many people these days do not have such a responsible way of doing it. Keep enjoying live and please write about it so i have something to read when I am working night shift. I enjoy reading blog. Please do not stop writing!!!!
Ok, so here's the thing. While you stating that you think you're hotter than "most" people, does sound a TAD bit conceited, I still think that everything you write is about what you FEEL, and who can fault you? B/c seriously, who are others to judge? Most people our age have had at least 1, or 2, or 50 mistakes, things that they wish they could do over, or whatever. And if other people talk shit, they should GET A LIFE! This is a blog..........a place that, as u said, u get to express everything that you might not can say in person/out loud. And if others don't like it....DON'T READ IT. So, no I don't think you should quit. Besides, what else would I do at work, when I'm supposed to be "working?" :)
I don't think that anyone that commented on things that they were uncomfortable with in regard to Peyton's comments were "talking shit". I do think that this is an open forum and in that process we are all entitled to our own opinion. I too didn't like the "tone" of the Blog that referenced her "short, fat" friend, and I commented to that effect.. but at no time did I make comments that were unkind toward Peyton herself, and I didn't judge. I think that comments are unproductive when they involve "flaming" or something of that sort. From what I have seen so far none of us have done that.
Peyton you are a person, you have flaws, and you have assets.. just like the rest of us. What you choose to do, or say and whom you choose to do it with or about is your choice and we can't judge... but if you have this blog out there then we can comment.. and will continue to do so until it becomes something we lose interest in.
I don't think you should stop blogging if it is still something you enjoy. That said, if it gets to the point where you are no longer enjoying it then you should stop immediately regardless of what your readers say. Do what feels good to you.
Peyton, Here's the deal. A lot of people commenting on this subject and your "flaws" have no right to talk about you as if they know you. Granted, we all have flaws, I do, you do, and everyone who has commented does. The major flaw I see in this comment uproar is that people were offended or displeased that you called someone fat. Moreover, they seem to find fault in the fact that you have confidence. If you think you are pretty, slim and intelligent good for you! So many people in this world don't realize their own assets, so be confident in who you are. I don't think you come across as someone who is full of themselves and think they are above anyone else. You seem to be a self-assured gal that knows, and can assert the fact, that you are attractive. Perhaps, people, namely the commenters shouldn't be offended by a woman of your nature but proud.
And for everyone that has been offended by the fat comment, get over it! You think she's the first person to call Charlotte, or anyone else fat? Please!
I don't think anyone of us can honestly say we've never uttered words that were not, in some way, derogatory towards someone else. Heck, many of you who are attacking her words attack her in the same breath! Way to show YOUR character!
how was your valentines day?
Peyton, you should keep writing, people enjoy your blog. BUT I have to say its not cool to censorship our comments, otherwise write a blog where people cant comment. I have said this before too, blog writing is about leaving yourself open to real criticism. People write what they are thinking. I dont think its cool to threaten us that you will quit unless we write nice comments. Personally, I like reading your blog, you are a talented writer (something I'm not). I wouldnt want you to stop but will I be devasted if you stop? No... life will goes on. But I'm not going to stop writing what I genuinely think. Sorry.
I have a very simple suggestion.
DON'T ALLOW COMMENTS AND CONTINUE WRITING.
I have read other blogs and the author doesn't allow comments.
Just a suggestion..
do let the comments stay!!! its something i like about the blog!
btw, i think this particular entry has the most comments ever....
And yea! how was v-day for you? do anything with FB...or Jake!!!
KEEP BLOGGING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
KEEP BLOGGING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nooooooooooooooooooo don't stop blogging.
You're blog is a blast too read!!!
And believe me, I have read and currently reading about 30 of them at one time.
Keep up the great writing!!!
I think you should continue blogging.
Perhaps some people reading this aren't very supportive of how you are, and some comments you say but then those people should stop reading it. Not the other way around.
I haven't read the other comments, and I usually don't write comments, but I personally L-O-V-E your blog. I can relate to so many things and just stay so entertained!!!
So it'd be awesome if you continued!!!
So, you have the support...where's the new post?
PLEASE keep writing! If you don't it'll be like a book that the last two chapters fell out! Yours is the only blog I read (besides corny myspace ones from my friends) and I love living vicariously through you. *grin*
